Project Walford College Theatre Location Oswestry, Shropshire Value £50k - £250k Type Design & Build education facility refurbishment Overview Complete refurbishment of existing theatre & auditorium for large technical college. Included new specialist seating, wireless touchscreen sound and lighting system, DV camera & editing suite, finishes, flooring & specialist furniture. The Project The lecture theatre at this college was tired and out of date. Iris were tasked with giving the theatre an overhaul and improving the facilities available. As part of the scheme, Iris installed new specialist auditorium seating, flooring, stage curtains, ceilings, zoned lighting and a specialist audio visual system. This comprised a customised lectern with an integrated Creston colour touch panel controlling all lighting, ceiling mounted speakers and visual presentation equipment, all back to an Apple Macintosh hub in the projection room. The panel was totally wirefree, allowing speakers or teachers total freedom to control the environment no matter where they stood. |
